SS316 is an austenitic stainless steel that contains molybdenum (Mo), which enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in chloride-rich environments like marine and chemical industries. SS316 stainless steel seamless pipes are widely used in industries requiring high corrosion resistance, durability, and strength. Unlike welded pipes, seamless pipes do not have any welded joints, making them stronger and better suited for high-pressure applications.

Chemical Composition

Mainly including carbon (C) ≤ 0.030%, silicon (Si) ≤ 1.00%, manganese (Mn) ≤ 2.00%, sulfur (S) ≤ 0.030%, phosphorus (P) ≤ 0.035%, chromium (Cr) 16.00% -18.00%, nickel (Ni) 12.00% -15.00%, molybdenum (Mo) 2.00% -3.00%.

Mechanical Property

Tensile strength σ b (MPa) ≥ 480, conditional yield strength σ 0.2 (MPa) ≥ 177, elongation rate δ 5 (%) ≥ 40, cross-sectional shrinkage rate ψ (%) ≥ 60, hardness ≤ 187HB, ≤ 90HRB, ≤ 200HV.

-Corrosion resistance: Excellent corrosion resistance in chloride environments and high temperature conditions, especially good resistance to pitting and intergranular corrosion, suitable for corrosive environments such as chemical and marine industries.
