Performance characteristics:
- Strong corrosion resistance: It has good corrosion resistance to various organic acids, inorganic acids, alkalis, and salts. Its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments is better than that of 304 stainless steel. It can withstand strong acid and alkali corrosion such as sulfuric acid, nitric acid, and carbonic acid, and is suitable for corrosive environments such as seawater, chemical industry, and food processing
- Good welding performance: All standard welding methods can be used, and stainless steel filler rods or electrodes such as 316Cb, 316L, or 309Cb can be selected according to the application during welding. When using 316L as the welding material, annealing treatment is not required after welding
- Excellent high temperature resistance: It has good oxidation resistance when used intermittently below 1600 degrees and continuously below 1700 degrees, and also has good heat resistance when used continuously outside the range of 800-1575 degrees
- Good mechanical performance: It has high strength, high hardness, and good wear resistance, and is not easily deformed or damaged when subjected to impact. It can withstand certain pressure and external forces, with a density of about 8.03g/cm ³, and has significant advantages in load-bearing capacity
